IONCOR powers the first all-electric Wille work machine

Published: 19.11.2025

IONCOR, one of Europe’s leading independent providers of battery systems, supplies its Energy Pack batteries to Finnish Wille Machines to electrify the Wille e475Δ, the company’s first fully electric work machine making its public debut today. This collaboration further reinforces IONCOR’s strategic focus on the electrification of heavy-duty and off-highway vehicles with its own battery systems.

Wille Machines’ first electric machine for environmental services, the Wille e475Δ, belongs to the best-selling size class in the Delta series. For its electric drivetrain, the company selected IONCOR’s Energy Pack for its compact, scalable design and high reliability in demanding conditions, including cold and wet environments. The battery system also allows flexible integration, enabling adaptable positioning within the machine.

The Wille e475Δ marks an important step in the electrification of work machinery. The fully electric machine delivers diesel-equivalent performance for environmental management tasks with zero local emissions. It is designed for demanding professional use, offering a wide range of work attachments while remaining suitable for urban environments.

  • This machine is one of the first electric solutions for environmental management that brings together compact size, rapid charging, and sufficient power for demanding jobs. We’re proud to see the expertise of Wille Machines and IONCOR leading the way in sustainable work machinery and battery technology, says Pekka Elo, Managing Director, Wille Machines.

In addition to environmental benefits, the electric drivetrain of the Wille e475Δ reduces maintenance costs by eliminating traditional internal combustion engine servicing. Energy consumption is also significantly lower than in fuel-powered machines, helping deliver long-term operational savings.

The IONCOR Energy Pack supports fast charging, compatible with standard home and public charging infrastructure, with up to 200 kW rapid charging. The battery system uses a Cell-to-Pack design, which maximizes energy density, reduces weight, and enables efficient use of space. The platform is scalable up to 1,000 kWh, with a step-size of 46,5 kWh, enabling integration for small-scale and large-series production.

  • Together with Wille Machines, IONCOR has created a work machine solution that combines full power and capability with zero local emissions. The Energy Pack demonstrates that clean technology and high performance can go hand in hand, even in the toughest conditions, says Roberts Abele, CEO, IONCOR.

The collaboration with Wille Machines reflects IONCOR’s strategic focus on expanding beyond the automotive industry and developing its own battery system products for bus, truck, and off-highway segments. It’s a tangible example of how the company’s new strategy is taking shape in the off-highway segment that offers strong growth potential well into the future.
