IONCOR is the lifetime partner for electrification. This long-term perspective guides our focus on the lifecycle sustainability of our products.

Our batteries are designed to reduce the carbon emissions of our customers’ vehicles, and deliver this sustainably. Batteries play a vital role in enabling the global energy transition, while their production can also have sustainability impacts. Recognizing this, IONCOR carefully considers how our products are designed, built and used by our customers.

This begins with design and material choices, flows through our rigorous durability and testing procedures to re-use and recycling. This lifecycle approach allows us to deliver high-performance, future-proof batteries: manufactured in Europe in our low-carbon facilities.

Future-Proof Batteries

  • We recognize that circularity of batteries is key to a future-proof product that reduces environmental impacts. Circularity means a focus to maximize our product’s lifetimes to reduce their lifecycle environmental impact, while ensuring European recycling processes can reclaim the materials embodied in our products to create the next generation of batteries.
  • We focus on enabling circularity by ensuring our products are durable, second-life compatible and recyclable. This allows us to extend the useful lifespan of each IONCOR battery and hence reduce the environmental impact. Our products are designed for safety with high ingress protection grade IP6K9K/IP67.
  • Our batteries fully comply with the EU Battery Regulation, providing a digital battery passport that empowers our customers with detailed, pack-level information that supports circularity. We collaborate with Global Battery Alliance on the frontline to develop value chain collaboration between global companies working on the battery passport.
